Designed in 1981, the Planned Parenthood logo has become the symbol for the nation's leading women's health care provider, educator and advocate.
Design Collective's original goal in creating Planned Parenthood's identity was to create a cohesive logo to unite the vast number of community fronts within the organization. The resulting "nested P" has become not only a symbol of the internal network, but of the embracing care the organization provides to those in need.
Accompanying the original logo was a complete standards binder. This included the various iterations of the logo, color usage, and all the other necessary branded materials to support the design intent of the program.
