Lane Alton Horst’s new corporate office, located in the Miranova Building in downtown Columbus, reflects the progressive attitude and community spirit of the entire firm, not just of the partners. Designed to appeal to a younger demographic, the 28,000-square-foot, contemporary space accommodates 75 to 90 attorneys and staff. Multiple meeting areas combine to form larger spaces for conferencing and entertaining. A hospitality zone overlooking the Columbus skyline and the Scioto River not only serves for dining during the business day, but for social, professional and community events outside of business hours. LAH wanted the space to feel cohesive, even though it involved two floors. To meet this challenge, DCI designed a large stair case off the elevator lobby, which literally and visually connects the floors.
